When I first realized I wanted work in visual effects I was drawn to the
characters, not only how they looked but how they moved.
Although I've been lighting and compositing for years, I never lost that
fascination with motion, with breathing life into a character. So once Meet
the Robinsons wrapped, I swapped my lighting lead hat for an animator's cap.
These animation clips include a few blocking and refining passes to show
the evolution of a piece.
The final clip is the blocking for a multi-shot, multi-character scene that
uses a clip from Arrested Development for some fun superhero deconstructionism. Now that
Avatar is done and there’s time again for things besides sleep and work I'm back to polishing.
