Reign of Fire was my second Secret Lab project.
On Reign, I started looking under the hood instead of simply modifying parameters in a finished tool or shader. The success of my first shader is debatable, but through the attempt I could see the importance of understanding the underlying technology that enabled the artist.
In my role as a Lighting Artist/Compositor on Reign of Fire I created and deployed light rigs, lit and composited shots, and iterated on ray marching RenderMan shaders.
